COLLABORATION WITH THE WYSS INSTITUTE AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY

As part of the GRES ARAGÓN-FAVEKER sustainability strategy which involves creating new technologies and products to fight climate change, we’ve collaborated with the Wyss Institute at Harvard University.

Together, we’ve designed an environmentally-friendly alternative to traditional air conditioning systems. This technology is based on an evaporative-cooling system that uses FAVEKER ceramic combined with a special coating to cool the air without adding moisture.

This ceramic structure consumes up to 75% less energy than the widely used gas compression refrigerant cycle systems.

It’s a system based on cooling by evaporation which uses specially coated ceramic to cool the air without adding moisture and on long-lasting, low-cost and low-energy consuming evaporative cooling. It can effectively work in warm and warm-humid climates and may someday replace vapor-compression refrigerants as a much more environmentally respectful choice.
